Patch Studio Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing Patch Studio for your photo or video shoot. We take great pride in our studio and appreciate your help in keeping it a clean, professional space. Please review these Terms & Conditions carefully to ensure your booking goes smoothly. By agreeing to these terms the hirer hereby acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions regarding the use of Patch Studio for photography purposes only.

Studio Rules

House Rules
● Food and drinks are not allowed within the studio space. Please eat outside or on the bar tables provided.
● Strictly no smoking in the studio or within 5m of the studio entry.
● No pets unless previously approved.
● No pornography of any kind.

Access Rules
● Access will not be granted before the booking period starts and bump-out must be completed by the end of the booking period. Overtime fees will apply.
● To avoid handover congestion, please do not arrive any more than 15 minutes prior to the start of your booking period.
● Please ensure all attendees have vacated the studio by the end of the booking period to avoid overtime fees and awkward late handovers. If you suspect your booking may go overtime, please book the studio for an entire day.

Furniture & Prop Rules
● Furniture and props may be rearranged, however, everything will need to be placed back in its original position by the end of the booking period.
● Furniture is for talent only, please bring what you need for media production crews separately.
● No standing on the furniture, or using the furniture in a way that could damage it (eg. sitting on the back of the couches).

Terms & Conditions

Operating Hours
● Our studio is open for secured bookings from 7 am to 5 am. Please note, that Patch Studio is not open to the general public. If you require access outside of these hours or need a multi-day booking, this can be arranged upon request.

Bookings & Overtime Fees
● The booking fee must be paid in full before the booking date to confirm the booking.
● All Studio Rules must be followed by the hirer and their attendees. The hirer is liable for the attendees.
● Non-compliance may result in the immediate suspension of the studio booking and forfeiture of all booking fees.
● The booking period defines the access period. Entry will not be granted before the start time, and bump-out must be completed by the end of the booking period.
● Overtime fees of AU$105 per hour apply and are charged by the hour.

Insurance
● The hirer and their attendees use our studio at their own risk. We take no responsibility for accidental or purposeful injury sustained to the hirer or their attendees.
● The hirer releases Patch Studio and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any liability for loss, damage, or injury to persons or property that may occur during the photography session, including but not limited to accidents, theft, or equipment malfunction.

Cancellations
● Cancellations made within 7 days of the secured booking date will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the booking fee.
● Cancellations made within 2 days of the secured booking date will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the booking fee.
● If government-imposed restrictions prohibit us from accommodating a secured booking (i.e. Mandatory Covid-19 lockdowns), we will hold that booking fee for an alternate date to be used within 6 months of the original booking date.

Studio Damage
● The hirer agrees to treat the studio and its property with respect and to leave it in the same condition as it was found. Any damages sustained to the studio or its property during the session will be the hirer’s responsibility to replace or repair at the studio managers discretion.

Paper Backdrops
● All paper backdrops are to be installed by the studio, any backdrop changes must be communicated with the studio by the hirer in advance.
● One paper backdrop for your shoot includes two metres wastage only is charged at $100.
● If the backdrop is damaged during your studio session the studio reserves the right to charge the hirer for any damages incurred.
● If you would like to have the backdrop changed mid shoot this will incur a fee of $60 in addtion to the price of the backdrop itself.

Furniture & Props
● Furniture and props may be rearranged, however, everything will need to be placed back in its original position by the end of the booking period.
● Heavy body make-up is not permitted on furniture as it stains it.
● Furniture and props may not be moved outside the building. 

Talent
● The hirer acknowledges that it is their responsibility to obtain all necessary model releases from individuals participating in the photography session and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Patch Studio from any claims arising from the use of images taken during the session. 

Studio’s Right to Use Images
● The hirer grants Patch Studio, its owners, and affiliates the right to obtain copies of all images taken during the session for promotional, marketing, and advertising purposes, both online and offline. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of images on the studio’s website, social media platforms, print materials, and portfolio. I waive any rights to compensation or approval for the use of these images. Please let us know directly if you’d like to opt out of this clause.

Parking
● 1 carpark is available to attendees for $50 a day and can be booked via our booking platform. Access will not be granted to the carpark without prior payment. 

Cleaning
● The studio must be left in the same condition as when entered, with all studio-provided furniture and props returned to their original places, as outlined in the Studio Rules.
● A cleaning fee will apply if the studio is left messy or disorganised.
● Non-destructive set decor (e.g., confetti, glitter, smoke machines) is allowed but must be cleaned up before the booking period ends to avoid a cleaning fee. A vacuum and broom can be provided if needed.
● Destructive set decor (e.g., fake blood, smoke flares, paint) is not permitted.. Non-compliance may result in immediate shutdown, removal from the studio, and forfeiture of booking fees. The hirer is responsible for the cost of professional cleaning to repair any temporary damage caused.
● General rubbish must be placed in the provided bins. Excessive rubbish (e.g., disposable set pieces or props) must be removed from the premises by the hirer.
